Who is this program for?

Some changes take time.

It is not about quick symptom relief, but about deep, lasting change — in the way you think, build relationships and cope with difficulties. Therapy works especially well when:

You face difficulties that keep coming back despite earlier attempts to solve them.
You feel that your patterns of thinking and behaviour have deep roots, built up over many years.
You want more than to “feel better” — you want to understand yourself and lastingly change the way you function.
You are looking for steady, systematic work on yourself with the support of specialists.
Important
Help is offered to everyone, regardless of worldview or religion. In our work we follow the standards of professional therapy and a Christian approach.
Therapy program

A three-stage road to a sober life

The goal is effective help in overcoming addiction and preparing for a conscious, sober life outside the center. Interrupting the program is not advised — the second and third stages can be voluntarily extended.

Stage 1 — therapy sessions
13 months
Foundation
Getting to know and accepting the house rules, building relationships with the therapy group and staff, building motivation for change, learning to give and receive feedback, mental and emotional stabilisation.
Leave passes after 2 months, as agreed with the therapist. Limited phone access.
Stage 2 — group workshops
23 months
Deepening
Working on engagement in the life of the center and awareness of the impact of psychoactive substances. Learning to cope with emotions and developing healthy communication.
Leave passes as agreed with the therapist. Limited phone access.
Stage 3 — work and independence
33–6 months
Readaptation
A return to an increasingly independent life: paid work, administrative and financial matters (e.g. debt enforcement), setting goals for life after leaving the center.
Full phone access. Leave passes up to 72 h, as agreed with the therapist.
Therapeutic community
Daily meetings — you co-create community life, give and receive feedback.
Group therapy
Workshops, trainings, lectures.
Individual therapy
Sessions with a therapist, psychologist and educator — motivation, goals, self-esteem.
Pastoral care
Personal faith and building a conscious, personal relationship with God.
Occupational therapy (ergotherapy)
A space that shapes responsibility and discipline.
Art therapy
Creative forms of working on yourself.
“The decision to start therapy is often the hardest and, at the same time, the most important step in the whole process of change. It is an act of courage and maturity.”
A sobering bill

What does drinking really cost?

Addiction sends a bill every month — it just never gets read. We did the math for you.

A year of drinking —
66,000 zł
A year of therapy —
39,600 zł
The difference is at least 26,400 zł a year. But the real stakes are higher: health, work, family, self-respect. Drinking takes them one by one — therapy lets you win them back.

The Center

You are not alone. We are a team.

Activity and engagement drive the process of change — that is why life at the center is shared: you live, eat and work together. The residential base is the Proem Help building in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, with full hotel facilities. Single rooms are also available — for those who want to extend their stay after completing a year of therapy.

The base for ergotherapy and recreation is the Proem Zako Christian Center in Zakościele: football, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, a sports tent with table tennis and a gym, a climbing wall and mini golf. Locally, we take part in Proem Foundation initiatives — “Journey to Bethlehem”, “Road to Jerusalem”, the “Kontakt Volunteering Festival” — and in the “Męska Sprawa” men’s project: hikes, bonfires, kayaking trips, tournaments, matches and quizzes.
